Wolf Studio emerged from a straightforward observation: travelers who care about environmental impact struggle to verify the sustainability claims of accommodations. We built a vetting system that goes beyond marketing language.
Since launching in 2019, we've assessed over 340 properties across Australia and partnered with 87 that meet our environmental criteria. Each accommodation undergoes annual audits covering energy systems, waste management, water conservation, and community impact.
How We Operate
Rigorous Property Assessment
Every partner property submits to third-party environmental audits examining energy sources, waste systems, water usage, and habitat impact. Properties must demonstrate year-over-year improvements in at least two categories.
Community Integration
We prioritize accommodations that employ local staff, source food from nearby producers, and contribute financially to regional conservation initiatives. Tourism should benefit the communities hosting it.
Direct Conservation Funding
Fifteen percent of every booking fee supports habitat restoration projects in the regions you visit. To date, this has funded the planting of 28,000 native trees and the removal of invasive species from 3,400 hectares.
